The hardware interface of RS-485 includes a few key components, including the RS-232, RS-485, DC Barrel Jack Connector, Ethernet interface, Wifi Antenna, and operating voltage between 5v-60v DC. It also features Wifi 802.11b/g/n compatibility, Ethernet up to 10Mbps, a dual-core ARM controller, hard reset button, IP65 casing, and static-resistant plastic. All of these components work together to provide a reliable and robust communication platform for industrial and commercial applications.
It comes with several built-in features that make it a powerful communication platform for IoT applications. One of these features is inbuilt electrostatic shielding, which protects the device from electromagnetic interference, ensuring reliable and secure communication. Additionally, it supports heartbeat packet functionality, which allows the device to periodically send a signal to the server to ensure that it is still connected and functioning correctly.
The IoT gateway also supports the MQTT Protocol, which enables bi-directional communication between the gateway and the server, allowing for real-time data exchange.
The Modbus RS485 to MQTT gateway drives the seamless transmission of data through an interface to the dashboard service. It utilizes data lines to extract the data and transmits the packet over MQTT to the dashboard.
